October 2013 Sales Tax Rate Changes
- Sep 17, 2013 | Gail Cole
Each new quarter brings with it exciting reports and forecasts. We learn if national employment went up or down, and if wages did the same. We hear data on new residential construction and discover how the house price index is performing. It's all very interesting.
The start of each quarter also brings a host of sales tax rate changes. The sun rises on new rates in Maine and sets over new rates in California and Washington. Sheer poetry.
The following states will see local sales and use tax rate changes, effective October 1, 2013:
- Nebraska municipal boundary changes,
- New York State (effective 9.27.13),
- North Dakota,
- Oklahoma and more Oklahoma,
- West Virginia and more West Virginia,
- Wyoming, and
- Washington State boundaries.
Sales tax rate changes, boundary changes, and rule changes are tiring to implement. An automated sales tax solution gives you time to relax.
